Сучасні митці часто обстоюють принципи мистецтва без кордонів, обміну інформацією та інтерактивності. Саме тому мистецтво сьогодення все більше схиляється до використання засобів масових комунікацій.

25 вересня 2009 року на екранах, установлених у Київському музеї російського мистецтва в рамках проекту «Відеостіна», глядачі зможуть побачити виставку “Rapture” групи німецьких художників «Artists Anonymous». У той самий час вона експонуватиметься в галереї «White Square Gallery» (м. Берлін, м. Лас-Вегас). Поряд з онлайн-трансляцію також демонструватиметься відео, що його змонтували «Artists Anonymous» спеціально для київського проекту.

Куратори проекту «Відеостіна» поставили собі за мету донести до київських поціновувачів прекрасного те, що відбувається за десятки тисяч кілометрів. Але технічний бік тут не головний – ми передовсім хочемо зруйнувати міф про різке протиставлення сучасного та традиційного мистецтва.

В умовах відсутності мейнстріму, особливо відчутної в мистецтві протягом останніх років, з його роллю успішно справляється протиборство двох умовно полярних сфер мистецтва – традиційної та радикально-інноваційної. Така позиція виглядає сьогодні як стереотип, від якого в першу чергу мало б одмовитися саме сучасне мистецтво. «Відеостіна» заявляє про вичерпаність цієї теми, пропонуючи перетворити конфлікт на симбіоз. Київський музей демонструє відкритість та готовність до експерименту, надаючи «contemporary art» кредит довіри.

Творчість художників з «Artists Anonymous» якнайкраще пасує для такого експерименту, бо базується на вивченні проблеми підміни реальності, котру вважають однією з найголовніших проблем сучасності. Життєві замінники заполонили наше життя, витіснивши з нього бажання пізнати абсолют і досягти досконалості.

Своїм проектом ми створюємо логічне продовження творчості німецьких художників, адже «Відеостіна» являє собою чергову ланку у процесі пошуку цими митцями своєї реальності. Наш проект спонукає її пройти через черговий фільтр, своєрідний апогей якого якраз реалізовано в Києві.

Contemporary artists very often declare postulates of art without borders, information exchange, and interactivity. Because of that contemporary art inclines to use communication facilities.

On the 25th of September, 2009 within the framework of project «Videowall» on the screens installed in the Kyiv Museum of Russian Art Ukrainian audience will be able to see the exhibition “Rapture” by the German art-group «Artists Anonymous», the same time exposed in the «White Square Gallery» (Berlin, Las Vegas). Besides the broadcasting, there will be demonstrated video made by «Artists Anonymous» specially for the Kyiv project.

Curators of the «Videowall» project set their mind on solving several problems, actual for contemporary art. First of all, we want to present the event which takes place tens of thousands of kilometres away from here. But technical side is not the main thing. We want to fail a myth about the existence of confrontation between contemporary and traditional art.

In the conditions of the lack of mainstream in the modern art, its personage successfully represents the confrontation of two art spheres: traditional and radical innovative ones. Such position and perception of theme looks as stereotype which the contemporary art must overcome sooner or later. «Videowall» declares that the theme is outspent and offers to convert conflict into symbiosis. The Kyiv museum of Russian art demonstrats its openness and readiness to the experiment by giving the credit of trust to contemporary art.

The Art of Artists Anonymous befits the best of all for such experiment. It is based on the researching of problem of substitution of reality, which is considered one of main problems of contemporaneity. Worldly sabstitutes have filled up our lives forcing out a desire to get known and attain Absolute.

We create logical continuation of the German artists’ project. «Videowall» creates the next link in the process of searching reality by «Artists Anonymous». Our project makes it get through the next filter, and the original apogee of it has been realized exactly in Kyiv.
